Crack-Resistance is Non-Negotiable

Traditional "crystal" hard plastic cups (Polystyrene) are notorious for being brittle. If a customer squeezes the cup too hard while trying to scoop out the last bit of ice cream, the cup can shatter, creating sharp edges and a sticky mess. PET is naturally flexible and impact-resistant. You can squeeze it, drop it, or stir it vigorously with a metal spoon, and it will maintain its integrity. This durability is essential for takeout orders, ensuring the shake arrives home intact.

Wide Openings for Toppings

Modern milkshakes are often towering works of art, topped with donuts, cookies, or mountains of whipped cream (the "Freakshake" trend). A narrow cup makes it impossible to add these garnishes effectively. We recommend our 98mm Wide-Mouth cups for milkshakes. This wider diameter provides a stable base for heavy toppings and makes it easier for the customer to use a spoon to get every last bite of the ice cream.

Insulation for Cold Retention

While PET is not a thermos, its material properties combined with the thickness of our cup walls provide a decent thermal barrier. This helps keep the milkshake frozen and thick for longer, preventing it from turning into a soup before the customer finishes it. It also reduces external sweating (condensation) slightly compared to thinner plastics, making the cup less slippery to hold.

Compatible with Dome Lids

A milkshake isn't complete without the dome lid. The dome provides the necessary "headroom" for the whipped cream and cherry on top. Our PET dome lids are designed with a wide hole (typically 1 inch) specifically to accommodate the jumbo straws or spoons required for thick shakes. The snap-fit connection is extra secure to prevent the heavy contents from pushing the lid off during transport.
